About the Qualification
The SEG Awards Level 4 Certificate in Professional Development (Youth Work) qualification has been developed in collaboration with the NYA and ETS (England and Wales) for individuals working in a Youth Work environment. The units contained within this qualification enables progression within the sector, provides a stimulating and supportive environment to grow professionally, and improves job prospects by formalising professional skills, development, and training.

Qualification Objective
For Level 1 Certificate, you will need to gain 17 credits from 6 mandatory units. Learners who achieve the Level 1 certificate may wish to progress onto the Level 2 & 3 Certificate or Diploma in Youth Work Practice.A minimum of 10 credits must be achieved at Level 4. If additional units are achieved at Level 4 or 5 beyond the requirement of this qualification’s rule of combination, the additional named units will appear on the learner’s qualification transcript.
You may also consider progressing onto other Level 5 Diploma programmes or go further, by joining one of our Management and Leadership courses, or the new higher-level 6 degree qualifications available nationally.
