The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification, aimed at learners aged 19 and above, as an introduction to teaching and vocational training. It is an entry-level qualification for those wishing to get into or progress in the Education and Training Sector.
The qualification is to prepare learners for employment and supports them to progress to a teaching or training role within the workplace, work-based learning, CPD training and those engaged in the delivery of assessing vocational achievement or apprenticeships.

To be awarded a Level 3 Award in Education and Training, you must gain a minimum of 12 credits (3 credits from the mandatory unit in Group A, 6 credits from Group B and 3 credits from Group C) see below:
Mandatory unit – Group A:
Unit 01: Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training (3 credits)
Optional units – Group B:
Unit 02: Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training (6 Credits)
Unit 03: Facilitate learning and development for individuals (6 Credits)
Unit 04: Facilitate learning and development in groups (6 credits)
Optional units – Group C:
*Unit 05: *Understanding assessment in education and training (3 Credits)
Unit 06: Understanding the principles and practices of assessment (3 Credits)
5 full bi-weekly teaching days 9.30am – 4.30pm and the course usually takes 3 to 6 months to complete, including assessment and certification.

The investment for the programme is £475, which includes all registration, certification and administration fees.
You must be aged over 19. It is also recommended that you have a basic level of literacy and numeracy before enrolling onto this course. However, an initial assessment for these skills will take place and an action plan will be created to support you as part of your course.
You do not need to be involved in any in-service teaching or training, as the assessment of practice will take place during our teaching sessions.
